Review:
The Mortal
Instruments: City of Bones — Shadowhunter’s Guide is a cool add-up to
any The Mortal Instruments’ fan book
collection. Despite focusing more on the movie aspect of this recent franchise,
it still shows an interesting approach to this amazing world building. With
great illustrations and a really good summary of the film as a whole, this
Guide brings you back to the dark and mysterious atmosphere that Clare created
in her series, with the plus of giving you tiny bits of information that you
might not yet know—especially in what comes to the runes, both design and
meaning.
With a major in Film and a future master’s degree in Publishing, to me, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones —Shadowhunter’s
Guide is the perfect example of a successful marriage between book and
movie. Even though I read it in just a couple of minutes—besides being quite
the small book, the visual component is also extremely strong, vibrant—I felt
both satisfied and pleased.
Of course, after this one and as you all may imagine, I’m more than
excited to grab and devour The Mortal
Instruments: City of Bones — The Official Illustrated Movie Companion.
